Pionex Card Review: Cashback, Fees, & Perks
Pionex combines a Visa card with a crypto exchange account, allowing users to spend from a separate USDT card balance. Its main everyday benefit is up to 1% cashback, supplemented by travel rewards and interest on the card balance.
The card is best suited to existing Pionex users who are comfortable maintaining a dedicated spending balance. A fixed fee on low-value payments can make very small purchases disproportionately expensive.
Users can fund Pionex through crypto deposits, bank-card purchases, Apple Pay, SEPA, SEPA Instant, and supported SWIFT routes. Apple Pay and Google Pay support also make the virtual card practical for in-person purchases.

Cashback and Rewards
Pionex offers up to 1% cashback on eligible card payments. The card uses a single reward structure rather than tier-based cashback rates.
Travel rewards and interest on the card balance are separate benefits rather than part of the card’s everyday cashback rate.
Card Fees
Pionex charges 0.2 USDT on card payments below 1 USDT after the monthly fee-free allowance has been used. Since 3 February 2026, the first qualifying small payment each month has been exempt from this fee.
Paymentscan Testing
On 13 July 2026 at 22:49, Paymentscan made a PLN 1.20 purchase with the Pionex card. Pionex recorded a transaction amount of 0.32 USDT, a separate transaction fee of 0.0032 USDT, and a small-payment fee of 0.2 USDT, producing a total debit of 0.5232 USDT.
Against the contemporaneous benchmark rate of 0.263371 USDT per PLN, the observed exchange-rate markup was approximately 1.25%. Including the 0.0032 USDT transaction fee but excluding the fixed small-payment fee, the effective markup was approximately 2.26%.
This was a single low-value test transaction and should not be treated as a universal exchange rate or fee for every purchase.
Funding Your Pionex Card
The card spends from a separate USDT balance, so users must move funds from their main Pionex account into the card balance before making purchases.
Pionex supports deposits across more than 200 assets and multiple networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Tron, BNB Chain, and Avalanche.
Fiat funding options include bank-card purchases, Apple Pay, SEPA and SEPA Instant through AlchemyPay, and supported SWIFT transfers through DBS Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and FV Bank.
Additional Features
Earn
The Pionex card balance can earn 5% APR, with interest paid hourly.
Travel Rewards and eSIM
Eligible Trip.com bookings earn 5% on hotels, 0.5% on flights, and 1.8% on train tickets. Pionex also includes an eSIM feature for users who need mobile connectivity while travelling.
Family Card
The Family Card feature allows an additional card to share the primary user’s balance, simplifying spending for a partner or family member.
Availability and User Experience
Identity verification is handled by Sumsub and requires the user’s legal name, date of birth, residential address, government-issued ID, and a facial video check.
Paymentscan completed onboarding in approximately 10 minutes on an iPhone. The card supports Apple Pay and Google Pay, with automatic Apple Pay setup during the tested onboarding flow.
Who Is This Card For?
Pionex is a practical option for users who already trade or hold assets on the platform and want a Visa card funded from USDT. Cashback, travel rewards, and hourly interest add value for regular users of the Pionex ecosystem.
The fixed small-payment fee makes the card less attractive for purchases below 1 USDT. Users who regularly make very small transactions may prefer a card without a fixed low-value payment charge.
