EURR is Revolut's new euro stablecoin, a blockchain-based token designed so that 1 EURR = €1. It gives customers a simpler way to hold and transfer euro-denominated value on-chain without converting their money into a dollar stablecoin such as USDC or USDT. EURR initially launched on Ethereum as part of a phased rollout, with additional blockchain networks expected to be supported over time.
Frequently Asked Questions
EURR gives Revolut a MiCA-regulated, euro-denominated alternative for customers who want to use stablecoins without taking on US dollar exposure. This does not mean Revolut is moving away from all dollar stablecoins: USDC remains MiCA-compliant and continues to be supported in Europe. Instead, EURR expands Revolut's stablecoin offering with an option designed specifically around its euro-denominated customer base.
Revolut has started EURR rollout in three European markets: Denmark, Poland and Portugal. More European Economic Area (EEA) markets will be available later this year, with Revolut providing this sign up form to get notified.
EURR is a euro-pegged e-money token (EMT) issued by Bridge Building S.A., an electronic money institution regulated by Luxembourg's CSSF. Bridge is responsible for the regulated issuance and redemption of EURR, with its EMI licence covering the issuance, distribution and redemption of electronic money.
Yes. EURR is offered through Revolut Digital Assets Europe Ltd, a MiCA-authorised crypto-asset service provider (CASP) regulated by CySEC under licence CASP001/25. Its launch also comes as Revolut adjusts its stablecoin offering to Europe's MiCA framework. Revolut is removing USDT for EEA customers, citing regulatory requirements, with the token due to be fully delisted on August 31, 2026. EURR began its phased rollout just five days earlier, on August 26.
EURR is mainly used to move and use euro-denominated money on blockchain networks while keeping its value tied to the euro. Some of the main uses are:
- Sending euros on-chain: Transfer EURR to another compatible wallet over a supported blockchain.
- Receiving euro-denominated crypto payments: Someone can send you EURR instead of USDC or USDT, so you receive value tied to EUR rather than USD.
- Moving between fiat and crypto: EURR creates a more direct route from euros in Revolut into blockchain-based assets and services.
- Avoiding USD exposure: A European user doesn't need to hold a dollar stablecoin just because they want to use blockchain infrastructure.
EURR will be fully integrated into the Revolut retail app, allowing eligible users to access and convert into the stablecoin directly within Revolut.
In practice, an eligible Revolut customer will be able to access EURR directly through the app, convert euros into EURR, and then use the stablecoin for supported crypto transfers or withdrawals to compatible external wallets and blockchain networks.
EURR holders have the right to redeem their tokens against Bridge at par value, subject to the applicable terms and onboarding requirements. Revolut Digital Assets Europe Ltd acts as the offeror, integrating EURR into the Revolut platform and making it available to eligible customers.
